My dearly loyal, faithful and pissed off readers;

Hi you guys,

...sorry you guys ....hehe,
BUT worry not, because PATEY IS BACK ONLINE!

I'm officially with this company called "Stream" (Internet provider), who refused to hook me up 5 months earlier. All it took was a phone call, a visit to the providers, a week or so and a few home-cooked dinners for my friend Genia (works in IT), but it's now here. And damn, it's nice and fast. How I've gotten used to either
1) checking my personal internet stuff at school (which sucks)
2) waiting a REALLY long time for shit to load on my computer.
3) just not having the internet at home.

But all this is irrelevant and useless and stupid to talk about.

I'm back online after something like a month in a half of non-substantial blogging. I forgot how great it is to have a nice outlet such as this one. It's damn good to be back.
Not only that, but I'm starting to get death threats if I don't continue to blog...sheesh dues. My life can't be that exciting! I must have lost at least a third of my readers though,....tink tink* are you still there?

ok,

so life since end of December:
it's been interesting to say the least.

-A beautifully well rounded trip home where I reconnected to everything that was important to me. Really connected, which is the way it should have been.

Exciting Anecdote: (Or wait, more like shareable story:)
On my flight back to Moscow, with the fog and all the craziness that is Montreal weather, my flight was delayed a bit, but it was ok cause we weren't late landing. The problem was the freakin' Charles de Gaulle airport; it's GIGANTIC!

So we touch ground and I look at my watch and think; GREAT I have an hour till my connecting flight to Moscow; I worried for nothing. I'll definitely make it.

We subsequently DRIVE (because...it's the actual verb to use for lack of better one) in the plane for 25 minutes!!! We're DRIVING! I'm looking out the window after 20 minutes thinking; this is a strange view...especially after being in the air for about 6 hours. We had to drive from where we landed to the gate where we were to get off. It was damn far! Then we got off the plane (with a slight delay of course) to get on a bus that DRIVES us to the gate (I was luckily seated near the front of the plane so got off a bit earlier than others and caught an earlier bus)

anyway the freakin' bus drove around and took us to a building, which I then had to run in and look for my gate number. Then I had to run from that building (with 10 mins till my flight) to a metro/train subway type thing which took me to another building which housed my gate. All this madness later, I had to bolt through the airport like one of those people in movies. It's those sprinters in airports that we usually look at and wrongly go; well MAYBE you should have just woken up a little earlier before coming to the airport, loser!! (It was cool though, especially when i was ushered in front of the x-ray line because I was on a "priority flight" hehe)
But anyway, I stopped finally and panted in front of the nice Air France lady who congratulated me...I actually made it!
It was all happy and sunshines and lollipops throughout the next 3 ish hour flight, cause I was so anxious to get home and I was sitting next to this American lady who was going to Moscow to pick up the little girl she was adopting. (We talked about it all for a long time; it was really cool and she was super excited.)
So I get out, and this is the only part that I was SLIGHTLY apprehensive about; the customs officer. Not that I really have anything to worry about since I'm totally legal...but anyway, it's all good! I'm allowed back into the country; no questions asked. All is smooth sailing!
"I'm back home!" I think, as I'm waiting for my luggage at the luggage belt thing....
and then the belt stops.
...oops!
of course,..
aparently my luggage wasn't able to run as fast as I was through Charles de Gaulle.
sounds bad doesn't it? It did for maybe 5 minutes as I thought of all my belongings and gifts gone somewhere...but it all turned out fine because the greatest part of this story (which is becoming needlessly long)
was that I was thrilled about it all, because
1) I was able to NOT have to lug my luggage around,
2) I was able to snag a short car ride of 10 bucks and a metro fare all the way home! SCORE! Cheapest ride home from the Moscow airport EVER!
3) they simply delivered it to me right at my door! (albeit at 11pm at night...but I wasn't sleeping anyway)

yeah, life's exciting!

More to come of much much more substance, I promise.
